Lucy’s major public speaking engagements are numerous and include speeches at the Commonwealth Club in Sydney, the International Bar Association in Paris, the Asia Pacific Council of American Chambers of Commerce (APCAC) in Malaysia, The Economist Round Table with the Government of Vietnam in Hanoi and the Association of British Business in Asia in Japan. Further, Lucy has provided regular assistance to the BBC World radio and television networks as well as to other international and Vietnamese broadcasters.

From an educational and training perspective, Lucy is unmatched in her dedication to the pro-bono training of the local legal profession and judiciary wherever LWA is established, and in her pro-bono contribution to the development of the legal system in Vietnam and Myanmar. She was the first private sponsor of Vietnamese judges to be trained abroad and the first international law teacher of the Bar Association of Ho Chi Minh City, thereby introducing common law and international business concepts into an undeveloped socialist civil system. From 1992-2005, Lucy worked regularly in cooperation with the Vietnamese Ministry of Justice to assist the Ministry and, in particular, to review draft legislation (particularly in the fields of foreign investment, finance, banking, securitisation, power generation) and to provide legal materials and legal publications to the Ministry. She also sponsored the first 3 Vietnamese nationals to be trained at the College of Law in the UK to become English solicitors.

From a charity perspective, Lucy has provided pro bono legal assistance, sponsorship, financial assistance and practical support to many charitable organisations in Vietnam, especially the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation.

Win Naing’s major public speaking engagements include speeches at the PWC seminar in Malaysia and the CIMB Bank seminar in Myanmar.

From an educational and training perspective, Win Naing has made a significant pro-bono contribution to the development of the legal system in Myanmar. He works in cooperation with JICA (Myanmar) and the Myanmar Attorney General’s Office to assist the Attorney General and, in particular, to review draft legislation.

From a charity perspective, Win Naing has provided pro bono legal assistance, financial assistance and practical support to many charitable organisations in Myanmar, especially the PSI (Myanmar) project.
